The Second Home in Our New Neighborhood in Downtown Davidson Is Complete!

John Marshall Custom Homes is pleased to share that the 2nd home in our ‘Davidson Springs’ neighborhood in downtown Davidson is now complete.  Designed by Craft Design Studio, this new custom home features three levels of living space as well as a walk up attic.

The exterior features a cheery color (Benjamin Moore’s “Harrisburg Green”), and a dramatic set of stairs which lead from the sidewalk to the main level of the home.  Inside, the main level of the home features an open kitchen and great room, as well as a dining area with a kid’s nook above, and a powder room and office.  The owner’s suite resides on the second floor, as do two guest bedrooms, a guest bath, and the laundry room.  The basement is finished out as an in-law suite, and a storage room features flooring from the Wake Forest ‘Deamon Deacon’s’ basketball court.

In addition to being beautiful, this home is well built and energy efficient.  Featuring R-30 basement walls, spray foam insulation, tankless water heater, and efficient Andersen windows and American Standard HVAC, this home is Energy Star certified with a HERS rating of 55.  The efficiency of this home will result in an annual savings of $1,600 in utility bills compared to a home that is built to code.

Davidson Springs is a 15 lot community in the heart of downtown Davidson.  All lots are currently sold, and construction is underway on several new custom homes.  A greenway which connects the South Main Street area to the Davidson K-8 school will traverse the neighborhood, and construction of the greenway is scheduled to start soon.
