John Marshall Custom Homes Announces New Phase of Popular Downtown Davidson Neighborhood

John Marshall Custom Homes of Davidson is pleased to announce a new phase of its popular Davidson Springs neighborhood in the heart of downtown Davidson.  This new phase will feature eight single family homes as well as eight townhomes, with prices ranging from the $400,000s and up.

The single family homes (see below for additional information) will range in size from about 2,000 square feet up to 4,000 square feet, with several of the homes on basement foundations which offer the opportunity for additional finished space.  Most homes will have an attached 2 car garage, although one lot will feature a detached garage which could have an apartment above it.  The townhomes will likely be around 2,000 to 2,500 square feet, with master bedrooms on the main level and a detached garage with a courtyard.

Davidson Springs is located near the intersection of Walnut Street and Spring Street.  It is a five minute walk to downtown Davidson, and even closer to Davidson Elementary School and attractions at South Main Square such as Carrburritos, the Davidson Beverage Company and Whit’s Frozen Custard.

Lot 1 – this lot fronts Walnut Street, and it is adjacent to 518 Walnut Street.  This lot will feature a house on a crawl space of up to 3,200 square feet, plus a detached two car garage which can have finished space above it if desired.  The lot cost is $259,000, and the “all in” cost for this house, including the lot, will likely be between $750,000 and $800,000 depending on size and finish options.  The following photos are representative of what might be built on this lot.

Lots 2 and 3

Lots 2 and 3 will front an extension of James Alexander Way.  The new homes to be built will be similar in size to the existing homes at 625 and 631 James Alexander Way.  Homes will be around 2,000 heated square feet, with an attached 2 car garage.  Total pricing will be around $500,000.  The following photos are representative of what could be built on these lots:

Lots 4 through 8

Lots 4 through 8 will front the ‘downhill’ side of James Alexander Way, and will have larger homes on basement foundations, and will include a two car attached garage.  The homes will be between 3,000 and 4,000 heated square feet, and there is also an opportunity to finish out additional space in the basement.  Total pricing for these homes will be around $750,000 to $850,000 depending on size and finish.  The following photos are representative of homes to be built on lots 4 through 8 (these photos are of homes already built on James Alexander Way):

Our best projection as of today (February 1, 2018), is that lots 2 through 8 will be available, together with the townhome lots, in the summer of 2018.
