Several years ago I visited a 1920s home in Charlotte.  On the back was a sleeping porch.  I’d never seen one before, but I fell in love with it.  I love sleeping outside, and still sleep with the windows open whenever possible.  Shortly after I saw the Stones River Farm plan, and fell in love with the classic farmhouse style, and the sleeping porch on the rear.  We ended up converting the sleeping porch to a playroom, but we kept the window from the ‘porch’ into the media room.  People would always ask “why is there a window between two rooms?”  To which I’d answer “several years ago I visited a 1920s home…..”
