It’s always nice to get called back for another project by someone you’ve worked with previously. In this case, this basement upfit was our third project for a lovely couple and their young family in Davidson.
In 2016 we built them a new home, returned in 2022 to build a pool house, and then in 2023/2024 we upfitted their basement to include a full bathroom, bar, office, bedroom, living space and a kitchenette.
While the home is a very traditional style, the basement has more of a modern feel, with a custom steel barn door, modern light fixtures, and ship lap on all of the walls and ceilings. An accordion window that goes between the basement kitchen and the outdoor kitchen is a highlight of this project.
