John Marshall Custom Homes was hired in 2025 to add a bathroom to the 3rd floor of a lake home in Denver (North Carolina). Subsequently, we were hired to finish a storage space over the detached garage.
Following the excellent designs of Dominique DeLaney of Dominique Delaney Interior Design, we added a full bath to the space, as well as an open area where this growing family can spend time while visiting the lake. The design details were excellent, from vertical shiplap to a patterned hardwood floor, checkerboard tile shower, and highly detailed custom cabinetry and plumbing fixtures.
As of this writing (February 2026), we are still waiting on a custom glass partition which will help divide the bathroom and living spaces, and some ceiling mounted mirrors. Once those are in place we will update this post with some professional photographs, but we couldn’t wait to share the results of this fun project.
